Battle of Sinhagad
Tanaji Malusare led a night assault on the heavily fortified Kondhana Fort. Using monitor lizards (ghorpad) to scale the sheer walls at night, his forces surprised the Mughal garrison. Tanaji was killed in the battle, but the fort was captured.
