Netaji Palkar

Netaji Palkar was the second Sarnobat (Commander-in-Chief) of the Maratha army under Shivaji Maharaj. He was a brilliant cavalry commander who led the Maratha light cavalry with great effectiveness. He later defected to the Mughals after the Treaty of Purandar but eventually returned to the Maratha fold.

Netaji was the chief of the Maratha cavalry and conducted lightning raids across Mughal territory. His cavalry tactics were a key component of Maratha guerrilla warfare.
